Perform various equipment designs, plant layouts, design of equipment supports, access platforms & decks, pumping, piping systems and pumping/piping calculations.

Conceptual layout of a new, additional process lines:

Project required plan and elevation layouts of a new process line to fit into Existing plant with certain additions where space was needed to accommodate the new line.

New green field processing facility:

Performed project management duties and project engineering of a 120 MM food processing facility for a major food processor.

Dryer Studies and providing dryer specifications to the customer:

When looking at food dryers we would start by doing an analysis to see if the dryer is capable of drying without product damage. Then set up parameters to operate the dryer properly. We also work with the customer with specification for new dryer purchases using new scientific based design perimeters.

Dryer and related equipment installation:

Project responsibilities were to assure a portion of a process line, including a new dryer, would fit within an available space in the existing plant. Working drawings (installation general arrangements) and detailed fabrication drawings for conveyors and support platforms were provided, as well as product piping and utility piping drawings.

Plant replacement after gutted by fire

Project responsibilities were to provide working drawings for various portions of new process lines. Also required were layouts of specialty equipment and detailed fabrication drawings for that equipment.

Batter Fryer oil system modifications

Project involved installation of centrifugal filter system & piping, and crumb removal equipment. Responsible to retrofit centrifugal filter system into existing fryer oil system and provide working drawings for installation and detail drawings for fabrication of crumb augers and press.

Fryer modifications & upgrades:

Worked with plant operations and engineering to develop methods of improving main fryer performance and efficiency on fry line. Generated detail drawings for implementing these changes.

Fryer oil system replacement:

Installation package for new fryer oil system for seven fry lines. Old system was as-built and study done to determine the cause of problems associated with the oil system. Decision was made, in conjunction with corporate engineering and plant personnel, to replace the entire system. Drawings were provided for fabrication of tanks for tank farm, all access platforms, general arrangements, railroad unloading stations and distribution piping. Evaporator Condenser installation:

Installation package for Evaporator Condenser and sub-cooler. Included design of 25-ft. tall support structure, access stair & platform, and piping tie-ins to new compressor and plant ammonia system. Fabrication and concrete drawings, general arrangement drawings, and specifications.

Packaging upgrades:

Project required installation of new packaging equipment. Equipment general arrangement drawings were provided for the installation of new equipment.

Blancher upgrade:

Worked with plant operations and engineering to develop methods of improving older blancher performance and efficiency. Provided detail drawings of desired modifications to blancher and pumping system.

New, automated raw receiving area:

Project scope included layouts to replace existing receiving area with a new receiving area, within the confines of the existing building. Responsibilities included general arrangement and fabrication drawings. Also drawings for access platforms & walkways, equipment supports and concrete. Innovative design allows full blending of several different grades/sizes of potatoes. Provided complete design, bid, and installation drawing packages.

Corporate batter fry line feasibility study:

Study involved producing process line layouts for installing batter fry line in one of three processing plants. Worked with corporate & plant engineers to assemble drawings & data necessary to do cost-assessment for project. Cost comparisons would be used to determine where to build new batter fry line. Study was conducted at each of the three plants.These are some of the many projects that our staff has been involved with over many years food processing experiences..
